Welcome to our School
It is a real privilege to serve this wonderful community, and I am delighted to share with you what makes our school such a special place.
At Wreay, our school is a happy, vibrant and nurturing environment, where children feel safe, have fun, and genuinely enjoy coming to school each day. We believe that when children feel valued and supported, they flourish—academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.
As a Church of England school, we view every child as unique, a gift from God, and we value and care for them accordingly. We foster an understanding of Christianity while encouraging children to explore their own spirituality and to respect the values, beliefs and faiths of others. Our Christian ethos guides everything we do: nurturing love, acceptance, kindness and hope.
We are proud to be a warm, friendly school community, where relationships matter and where every child is known as an individual. Our staff work with dedication and joy, helping each pupil to grow in confidence, curiosity and character.
Outdoor learning is something we truly love. Our beautiful surroundings allow children to learn through exploration, adventure and hands‑on experiences. Whether tending the garden, investigating wildlife or engaging in imaginative play, our pupils develop a deep appreciation for nature and the world around them.
Our aim is for each child to flourish and reach their full God‑given potential. We encourage them to embrace challenges, celebrate their achievements, and use their gifts to make a positive difference. Alongside academic progress, we place great emphasis on helping children become respectful, responsible, kind and caring citizens of the future.
