School Council and Ethos Team
Our School Ethos Team
Our school Ethos Team are a keen group of children, who meet regularly and who play an extremely important role in our school community. All of the pupils in the team have volunteered for the role, range from Year 2 to Year 6. The Ethos Team contributes towards the upholding of our school Christian Vision and values, making sure that our school continues to be a very special place for everyone.
Together, they are a team who aim to be a role model to the rest of the school and always try to look out for people in school who are sharing our Christian Values and are always there to support those who need a friend. Every lunchtime, they take out a special ‘Peace and Love Rucksack’ into our playground, which contains a wealth of resources they can share with pupils who might be in need of a friend to talk to or some time to quietly reflect.
To show they are part of our Ethos Team, children wear a gold and black badge on their school jumpers. It's a proud moment when they get their badge.
The Ethos team also help to lead the whole school collective worship each week and, during Friday’s Celebration Worship, they help to give out certificates and announce the weekly house points. They are responsible for making notes of the key messages and themes during whole school collective worship too and enjoy taking photos to share with others in their collective worship log. They also help to create our school reflection areas and enjoy showing visitors around our school and sharing with them all that is special about our school, our values and our school ethos.
